The monster engulfs a diner, trapping Steve, Jane, and others in the basement. However, while using a fire extinguisher, Steve discovers that CO2 will freeze the monster. The police take Steve's advice and shower the monster with CO2. Once frozen, the monster is transported by helicopter to the frozen Arctic.
