Not that long ago, MGM released 2001: A Space Odyssey on DVD. Now, Creative Design has announced the release of a special edition "Collector's Set" packaged in a luxury fitted slipcase and including the CD soundtrack. In addition, the DVD package will include a 16-page commemorative booklet featuring stories behind the film and the music plus over 20 photos. The DVD includes a trailer; and an interview with co-writer Arthur C. Clarke. In addition, the soundtrack includes the original overture, entr'acte and exit music.

DVD release date: June 22, 2001.
